Once a year, you should bring your pet in for a check-up. This will include a physical exam, annual vaccinations, heartworm testing, and deworming if needed. Blood chemistry testing and teeth cleaning are available if needed. Dr. Jeff Van't Hof or Dr. Travis Hawkins will check the health of your pet from head to tail, and you will be very happy you came to the Akron Veterinary Clinic for service.

Bring in any medical history you have of your pet when you come to our vet clinic. You may keep a journal of your pet's health, including behavioral shifts. If you have something like this, share it with our team. If not, let us know everything that you think will be important. Drs. Van't Hof and Hawkins will work with whatever information you have.

In some circumstances, Dr. Van't Hof or Dr. Hawkins will refer you to a specialist who has advanced expertise in areas such as internal medicine or surgery. We have an excellent working relationship with other clinics in the area in order to provide the best care for your animals.
